Core Demand Met After Weeks of Agitation

The protests began in the wake of a paper leak in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) held in May 2026. The examination was cancelled, a re-test was conducted in June, and the government announced a shift to computer-based testing from the following year. Protesters, organised under the CJP banner, accused the education ministry of systemic failures and demanded accountability.
