Delhi, June 14: In a shocking case, a 35-year-old man was shot dead by unknown assailants outside his residence in Delhi's Vikaspuri area on Thursday. The deceased, identified as Amit Kochar, and his two friends were waiting for the food they ordered through a mobile application. When the doorbell rang, Kochar reportedly went downstairs and a opened the door where he was confronted by attackers. According to news agency ANI, DCP Monika Bharadwaj said that the attacker told the victim they wanted to talk and during mid-conversation they put him on a gunpoint. He was taken to a car in which he was shot multiple times. The victim died on the spot. Hearing the gunshot, when his friends rushed for help. The attackers told them to stay out of matter.

The police said that the motive behind the murder is not yet known and once the accused are apprehended it could be ascertained. Meanwhile, police have launched the search operation and his friends are also being questioned. The victim was currently unemployed and is survived by his wife, who was at work when the incident took place.
