New Delhi, November 17: Missing posters of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and former cricketer Gautam Gambhir were seen in ITO area of the national capital on Sunday. According to a tweet by ANI, Gambhir's photo was seen stuck on trees asking, 'Have you seen this man'. The message on the poster read, "Kya aapne inhe kahin dekha hai? Aakhri baar Indore me jalebi khate hue dekha tha. Puri Delhi inhe dhund rahi hai" (Have you seen this man (Gambhir). The last time, he was spotted eating jalebi in Indore. Entire Delhi is searching for him).

The incident comes after Gambhir missed the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Urban Development meeting over air pollution in Delhi, on November 15. The meeting, which was called to discuss the rising levels of air pollution in the national capital, was postponed as most participants, including East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir and civic officials, were absent. Apart from Gambhir, the commissioners of all three Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Vice-Chairman of DDA and Secretary/Joint Secretary of Environment did not turn up, forcing postponement of the meeting.

Take a Look at the Posters:

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is in power in Delhi, slammed the former cricketer by tweeting: "Delhi is choking and Gautam Gambhir is busy enjoying in Indore". Soon after, Gambhir's former Team India colleague V.V.S. Laxman had tweeted a picture of them enjoying 'jalebis' and 'poha' in Indore, where India and Bangladesh are playing their second Test match. Gambhir is part of the commentary team. Later in the day, Gambhir had posted a lengthy tweet in the evening: "My work will speak for itself! P.S. Agar mujhe gaali dene se Dilli ka pollution kam hoga to AAP jee bhar ke gaali dijiye. cc: Trolls".
