Imphal, January 28: An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter Scale hit the north-eastern state of Manipur on Monday. According to a tweet by ANI, the quake struck the Churachandpur region of the state at 5:15 am on Monday morning. No immediate damage or casualties have been reported so far. This is the fourth earthquake in Manipur in last four days. Earthquake Hit Himachal Pradesh's Kangra District.

The quake comes a day after an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 struck off Senapati district in Manipur on Sunday. According to a report by ANI, the quake on Sunday struck the state at around 10:19 am. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the quake hit at the depth of 50 Km in Senapati.

Earlier on January 25, a quake of 4.0 magnitude struck Chandel district of the state. According to reports, another earthquake of magnitude 4.6 hit Churachandpur three hours later.
