YouTuber and reality show winner Elvish Yadav has reportedly received a death threat and a demand for INR 10 crore from individuals claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting an investigation by Gurugram Police. Officials said the threat messages were allegedly sent through an international phone number and were also forwarded to Yadav’s father, as reported by Dainik Jagran. According to police, the complainant stated that the sender identified himself as Randeep Malik, allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and demanded the money within two days. The message reportedly warned of dire consequences if the amount was not paid.

Threat Messages Sent Via WhatsApp

Police sources said Yadav received a WhatsApp call from a foreign number on May 5, which he could not answer. Shortly afterward, he allegedly received a threatening WhatsApp message demanding ₹10 crore as extortion money. A case has been registered at Sector-56 police station in Gurugram, and the matter has now been handed over to the crime branch for further investigation. Authorities are trying to trace the origin of the calls and messages.

Previous Firing Incident at Yadav’s Residence

The latest threat comes months after a firing incident outside Yadav’s Gurugram residence in August 2025. At the time, unidentified assailants allegedly fired multiple rounds near his home before fleeing the spot. Following that attack, a social media post attributed to the “Bhau Gang” claimed responsibility for the firing. The group had alleged that the incident was intended as a warning linked to Yadav’s alleged promotion of betting applications, though investigators had not officially verified the claim. Police had arrested several suspects in connection with that case, while security around the influencer was also reviewed.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Under Increased Scrutiny

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has frequently been linked by law enforcement agencies to extortion threats, shootings, and organised criminal activity targeting businessmen, celebrities, and public figures across multiple states.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently lodged in jail, has remained under national scrutiny in recent years due to investigations into high-profile extortion and murder cases. Authorities have alleged that members of the syndicate continue to operate through associates and online communication channels.

Investigation Continues

Gurugram Police said cyber and technical surveillance teams are examining the digital trail linked to the threatening messages. Officials have not yet confirmed the authenticity of the sender’s claimed association with the Bishnoi gang. No arrests have been announced in the latest extortion threat case so far.
