Students of Sarvodaya Inter College in Kishanpur, Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district, staged a protest on Monday, July 27, over the alleged lack of basic facilities, including electricity and clean drinking water, at the school. The students also accused the principal of abusive behaviour and warned that they would intensify their agitation if their demands were not addressed.
Videos of the protest have since circulated widely on social media, where users have drawn comparisons with recent student-led demonstrations over the NEET paper leak. Students Raise Slogans Over Basic Amenities
A large number of students gathered on the school campus carrying a portrait of Dr B.R. Ambedkar and raised slogans against the alleged mismanagement at the institution. According to the students, the prolonged lack of electricity and clean drinking water has disrupted both classroom learning and daily activities.

Students Warn of Larger Protest
During the demonstration, the students said they would intensify their protest if their demands remained unmet. They also raised slogans against the school's principal and staff, alleging that the administration had failed to address their concerns.
Female students participating in the protest said a proper educational environment could only be ensured when the school provides minimum basic amenities necessary for students.
Social Media Draws Comparisons With Recent Student Movements
The protest has sparked discussion on social media, with some users comparing it to the recent student agitation over the NEET paper leak that drew nationwide attention.
The 49-day protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, led largely by young aspirants demanding action over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination, became a major national issue. Following that movement, some social media users described the Fatehpur school protest as an example of younger "Generation Alpha" students raising their voices for basic rights.
However, the current protest in Fatehpur is focused on infrastructure issues within the school rather than broader education policy.
Sarvodaya Inter College, located in Kishanpur in Fatehpur district, witnessed the student protest amid allegations of inadequate infrastructure and administrative shortcomings.
