A disturbing case involving a Class 4 student has come to light in Gorakhpur, where excessive mobile phone use during online classes allegedly led to exposure to p*rnographic content and serious changes in his behaviour. The child allegedly began watching p*rn videos on his mobile phone and later engaged in an inappropriate act involving his seven-year-old sister. The incident came to light when the child's mother entered the room. The family subsequently took him to a psychologist, where he is undergoing counselling and treatment.

According to the family, the child studies at a reputed school in the Civil Lines area and had been given a mobile phone for attending online classes. However, instead of using it only for studies, he reportedly started playing games on the device. Child Took Mobile Phone to Bathroom

The child allegedly began taking the mobile phone into the bathroom and spending considerable time using it. When family members later checked the device, they reportedly found explicit websites open on it. Despite being counselled by his family, his behaviour allegedly did not return to normal.

Around two months ago, the school management reportedly called the child's family after receiving complaints about his conduct. The family was informed that the child had allegedly created an obscene image of a female teacher. His classmates had also reportedly complained about his inappropriate behaviour.

Child Undergoing Psychological Counselling

Psychologists treating the child said he is receiving regular counselling. However, they cautioned that no mental health disorder can be diagnosed without a detailed assessment by a qualified mental health professional.

The case highlights concerns surrounding children's unsupervised access to smartphones and the potential risks of unrestricted internet access. Experts recommend age-appropriate parental controls, supervision of children's digital activity and open communication about online safety.

21-Year-Old Engineering Student Seeks Gender-Related Help

In another case reported in the city, a 21-year-old engineering student is also undergoing psychological treatment. According to his family, he often remains quiet, becomes angry suddenly and has expressed discomfort regarding his gender.

The family reportedly said that he repeatedly pressures them to make him a girl. He is currently undergoing regular counselling under the supervision of a mental health professional.
