Gurugram, November 13: A mutilated and naked body of a three-year-old girl was found in Sector 66 of Haryana's Gurugram on Monday. An investigation revealed that the deceased was raped and brutally killed by a 20-year-old labourer, who has been identified as Sunil Kumar. The post-mortem report said a wooden stick was inserted in private parts of the victim.

The girl had gone missing on Sunday morning. Sunil Kumar allegedly lured the minor by promising to buy her chocolate. The accused, who hails from Naugaon village in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, then sexually assaulted the minor before brutally killing her. Several injury marks were also found on the victim's body.

Victim's parents hail from West Bengal and came to Gurugram to earn a living. On Sunday, when they returned from work, they didn't find their daughter at home. They began a search and later filed a police complaint. One of the neighbours saw the girl's body in the fodder rooms of the cowshed. According to reports, Kumar came to the city a week ago in search of a job, and was staying with his two sisters in the same locality. A case was registered under the section 302 (Punishment for murder), 376 (Punishment for rape) and Section 4 (Punishment for penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from sexual Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
