New Delhi, March 28: The Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday in response to Pakistan's reply over the 'inadequate' dossier on Pulwama terror attack said that India is 'hardly surprised' as this script was followed by Pakistan in past, after the terror attacks in Mumbai in 2008 or in Pathankot in 2016.

Informing about the development in the Pulwama terror attack case, involving Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Masood Azhar, MEA said, "Hardly surprised, as this script was followed by Pakistan in past, after the terror attacks in Mumbai in 2008 or in Pathankot in 2016 It is a well-known fact that Masood Azhar is based in Pakistan. Was again acknowledged recently to international media by Pak Foreign Minister." Pakistan Seeks More Evidence From India Over Involvement of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pulwama Attack.

Adding more, the MEA expressed its disappointment over Pakistan's reply. It said, "India is disappointed at Pakistan’s response to our detailed dossier on the Jaish-e-Mohammed’s complicity in the cross-border terror attack in Pulwama, the presence of its terror camps and leadership in Pakistan."

Earlier Wednesday Pakistan had sought more evidence from India on the involvement of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in the February 14 Pulwama attack. Reports had arrived that Pakistan Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua also called Indian High Commissioner and shared 'preliminary findings' on the terror attack.

With the terror attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama, killing 40 personnel, the tensions between the two neighbours escalated. And the tensions even escalated after the Balakot air strikes which PM Narendra Modi said was a pre-emptive attack on militant camps.
