IndiGo Flight 6E97 Bomb Threat: Lucknow-Dammam Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Ahmedabad

An IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport on Thursday evening after a bomb threat was reported on board. Flight 6E97 landed safely at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at around 5:45 pm, following which all passengers and crew members were evacuated.

According to airport police, a crew member found a piece of paper with the word “bomb” written on it inside the aircraft. The flight was carrying 107 passengers and six crew members when it diverted to Ahmedabad.

After the aircraft landed, local police and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel began a detailed search of the plane. Airport police inspector A D Chavda said the emergency landing was prompted by the note found by the crew member. Authorities are continuing security checks as part of the standard response to the bomb threat.
