A horrific incident of domestic violence unfolded in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, after a 37-year-old man allegedly murdered his wife following a domestic dispute and subsequently threw their two teenage children into a pond near Hingonia village. While the couple’s 13-year-old daughter tragically drowned, their 12-year-old son managed to swim ashore, locate a nearby police patrol vehicle, and raise the alarm.

According to local police officials, the suspect, who works as a commercial driver, allegedly stabbed and strangled his 32-year-old wife at their rented home in Jhalariya following a heated argument over domestic issues. Following the murder, the accused led his two children to a nearby deep-water pond in Hingonia, where he threw both of them into the water. The 12-year-old boy survived by swimming back to the bank. He immediately rushed toward the road and alerted a First Response Vehicle (FRV) team from the Kanadiya police station that was patrolling the area. Police personnel rushed to the scene and initiated an immediate overnight search operation with the assistance of the State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF). Search teams recovered the 13-year-old girl's body from the pond early Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, police arrested the suspect and recovered the wife’s body from their house based on details provided during preliminary interrogation. The couple, originally hailing from Kantaphod in the Dewas district, had resided in the Indore area for nearly 18 years before recently relocating to Jhalariya. Senior police authorities confirmed that the suspect remains in custody as forensic teams and investigators work to establish the complete sequence of events leading up to the homicides.
