Qatar, Sep 26:  In a shocking incident, an 11 month-old baby reportedly died onboard Qatar Airways Doha-Hyderabad on Wednesday, news agency ANI tweeted. The cause of the death is still unknown.  Further details are awaited. Earlier this week, a Chennai-Doha Qatar Airways flight was cancelled due to technical glitches. The incident had come to light after a passenger tweeted that they were made to wait for about four hours at the airport and about one hour inside the flight QR529 before it was cancelled.

Responding to the passenger's tweet, the Airline tweeted, "It is never our intention to disturb your plans. Flight delays/cancellations are sometimes unavoidable due to air traffic, operations, technical issue and more. However, we always aim to keep this to a minimum to maintain our passengers' satisfaction at its best." Qatar Airways Flight From Doha With 306 Passengers on Board Lands Off-Centered on Runway at Kochi Airport.

In July this year, a Qatar Airways flight skidded off the runway while landing at the Cochin International Airport. Airport Director A.C.K. Nair was quoted by IANS saying that an Airbus 330 flight landed out of the runway alignment because of certain crosswind conditions that prevailed during the last lap of its landing process.

According to reports, Qatar Airways emerged the big winner at the 2019 Passenger Choice Awards. The airline has bagged awards for best cabin service and best in-flight dining, reports informed. The awards are based on passenger feedback on the travel-organizing app TripIt with which it has a partnership at a function organized by the Airline Passenger Experience Association or APEX.
