Jaipur, October 18: A woman has registered a complaint against a sadhvi, accusing her of sexual harassment at an ashram in Jaipur city's Jamdoli area where both were staying. Since the complaint was filed, the accused sadhvi, whose identity has not been revealed, is absconding. The police also rescued 16 girls aged between 6 to 16 from the ashram. The girls were brought from Tripura.

The woman, who filed the complaint on September 29, alleged the sadhvi tried to make a sexual relationship with her despite her refusal. The woman said she informed about it to the higher authorities of the ashram, and other girls living there made similar allegations against the sadhvi. Following the complaint, authorities raided the ashram and rescued 16 other girls. Child development committee chief said some children were brought at the ashram. We counselled them after receiving complaints and handed over them to their relatives. Further investigation and efforts were underway to catch the accused sadhvi.
