Jharkhand: Man Killed After Refusing Inflated Fuel Bills, 4 Arrested

A construction firm employee was allegedly kidnapped and killed in Jharkhand’s Giridih district after refusing to prepare inflated fuel bills, police said. Manjesh Singh, who had joined the company 15 days earlier, was allegedly abducted while riding his motorcycle. A private construction firm employee was allegedly kidnapped and killed in Jharkhand's Giridih district after he refused to prepare inflated fuel bills, police said on Wednesday, September 9. Four people, including two employees of the company, have been arrested, while police are searching for two others, including the project manager.

The victim, Manjesh Singh, was from Bihar's Lakhisarai district and had joined the firm as a clerk just 15 days before he went missing. Employee Objected To Inflated Diesel Bills

Police said the accused had allegedly been receiving additional payments by inflating diesel bills for tractors used by the company. Singh reportedly objected to the alleged manipulation, which police said worsened his relationship with colleagues and project manager Upendra Choudhary.

Investigators allege that the colleagues and project manager then conspired with Yadav to kill Singh. Singh Allegedly Abducted While Riding Motorcycle

According to police, six people allegedly abducted Singh on Sunday from the Khatponk area while he was riding his motorcycle.

The accused allegedly took him to a nearby jungle, where they beat him to death and then crushed his head with a stone.

Police said Singh's body was subsequently recovered from a forestFour people have been arrested in connection with the case, police said.
