Lucknow, July 21: A week after the encounter of history-sheeter Vikas Dubey, Lucknow Police has announced a reward of Rs 20,000 for providing information related to whereabouts of Vikas Dubey's brother Deep Prakash Dubey. The police informed that Deep is absconding after the July 3 incident where eight policemen were killed at Kanpur's Bikru village.

Informing about the announcement of reward, UP ADG (Law & Order) Prashant Kumar said, as quoted by news agency ANI, "Lucknow Police has announced a reward of Rs 20,000 for providing information related to whereabouts of Vikas Dubey's brother Deep Prakash Dubey. Earlier on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Police arrested Dubey's aide Jaykant Vajpayee and the latter's friend Prashant Shukla. Police have stated that both Vajpayee and Shukla were involved in Kanpur encounter. Also, police registered FIR against both of them under multiple sections of the IPC, Criminal Law Amendment Act and Arms Act.
