Video Allegedly Shared With Friends and Family
Investigators said that after hanging Bhagyashree, the accused allegedly recorded a video showing her struggling for life. Police further alleged that he circulated the video among relatives and friends and also made a video call to her parents while she was gasping for breath, forcing them to witness the incident.
A video purportedly linked to the case has surfaced on social media. It appears to show Bhagyashree hanging by a green dupatta while struggling for life, with the couple's names, written on the bedroom wall during their wedding celebrations, visible in the background. The authenticity of the viral video has not been independently verified.
Woman Had Returned Home to Reconcile
According to police, Bhagyashree had left her matrimonial home around two months earlier following frequent disputes with her husband and had been living with her parents.
Investigators said Praveen later persuaded her to return home after assuring her that they would live together peacefully. Police allege that she was killed on the same evening after returning to the house.
Bilagi police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and launched an investigation. The accused was arrested shortly afterwards. Police said they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder and are gathering evidence as part of the probe.
The incident has drawn widespread attention after the alleged video surfaced online. Authorities have urged the public to refrain from sharing graphic content related to the case, while the investigation into the alleged murder continues.
