Mumbai, December 3: The flight services from Kolhapur to Mumbai will remain shut from December 7 to December 27 due to maintenance work at Mumbai airport's main runway. The services to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport will resume from December 28, a statement from the TruJet airlines company said, which runs service between these two cities. “TruJet runs a 72-seater aircraft between Mumbai and Kolhapur, five days a week. Due to the repair works being carried out at the main runway of the Mumbai airport, we have cancelled the flights from December 7-27 and will resume services from December 28. The passengers who have booked flight tickets during this period will be getting a refund,” the statement read, the Hindustan Times reported.
The money will be refunded to the passengers who have booked tickets during this period. TruJet had started the Kolhapur-Mumbai air services on September 2, 2019. The services run for five days a week.
Due to recarpeting work, the main runway of Mumbai airport will remain shut for eight hours every day, except Sundays till March 28, 2020. The runway, however, will remain open throughout the day on January 15, February 19 and 21, March 10 and 25 in view of public holidays and festivals.
