In a disturbing incident, an eight-year-old girl - the daughter of a daily-wage laborer - was allegedly s*xually assaulted by three minor boys in Latur city, according to local police. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the MIDC police station in central Maharashtra. Authorities have detained all three accused individuals, who consist of one 16-year-old and two 12-year-olds.

The victim resides in a rented accommodation in the area with her mother, who works as a daily-wage laborer to make ends meet, reports PTI. According to investigators, the three neighborhood minor boys targeted and assaulted the child on Sunday, October 4. Detainment and Ongoing Investigation

Following the filing of the case, law enforcement moved quickly to apprehend the suspects. Two of the minor boys were taken into custody on Monday, while the third was apprehended on Tuesday. All three accused have since been sent to a juvenile observation home. Assistant Police Inspector Suchita Shingade is leading the ongoing investigation into the case.
