A Provincial Rakshak Dal (PRD) personnel in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow reportedly helped his wife marry her lover after she refused to return to her marital home, police said. The incident took place in Malihabad, where the woman and her lover later got married at a temple after the matter was discussed between both families. The case came to light after the woman, who had married the PRD personnel in May 2025, allegedly left her in-laws' home a few days ago without informing her family, according to a report.

Unable to trace his wife, the husband approached Malihabad police and lodged a missing report. The matter took a turn when the woman arrived at the Malihabad police station with her lover.
