An Ahmedabad businessman has moved a local court to lodge a complaint against his wife of 27 years, alleging she is involved in an extramarital affair with an acquaintance she met at a gym. Following the filing, the court has directed the Cyber Crime Police Station to conduct a formal investigation into the allegations and submit a report within 30 days.

Allegations of Infidelity and Recorded Evidence

The complainant stated that his suspicions were first raised by noticeable changes in his wife’s behaviour, as well as concerns voiced by their two children and neighbours. He alleged that the individual in question frequently visited their home while he was away and maintained constant contact with his wife through phone and video calls. Gujarat: Married Woman Alleges Forced S*x, Po*n Pressure and Mental Abuse by Husband, and In-Laws.

To verify his suspicions, the husband admitted to installing a concealed audio recording system inside their home without his wife's knowledge. He claims these recordings confirmed the romantic nature of the relationship. Furthermore, the businessman alleged that he later tracked the pair during trips, where he reportedly observed them together in a vehicle.

Legal Disputes and Alleged Threats

The situation escalated to a legal dispute involving joint family assets. Fearing that valuables stored in a jointly operated bank locker might be removed, the man successfully petitioned a civil court to freeze access to the account. Following the freezing of the locker, the complainant alleged that the man involved with his wife, contacted him via phone to demand the audio recordings. According to the court filing, the caller threatened the businessman with being falsely implicated in a INR 1-crore financial dispute if he refused to comply with the demand. Ahmedabad: Woman Makes Sister Marry Lover To Hide Extramarital Affair.

Police Involvement and Mental Distress

The businessman reported that this ongoing conflict has caused him severe mental distress and depression, in addition to significant embarrassment for his family. He informed the court that he had previously reached out to both local police and cybercrime authorities regarding these issues, but claimed those initial complaints did not result in formal action. The court's recent directive mandates that the Cyber Crime Police Station examine these claims thoroughly. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to verify the evidence provided by the complainant.
