Mumbai, November 22: In what is being seen as a miracle, a carpenter working at a construction site in Mumbai survived a 13-feet fall on a pole that pierced right through his chest and entered his skull. According to a report in TOI, Rakesh Jadhav, the carpenter working at a site in Chembur, was saved after a five-hour complex surgery performed by doctors on Tuesday.

After the incident happened, Jadhav's co-workers rushed him to a nearby nursing home from where he was taken to Zen Multispecialty Hospital in Chembur. The doctors decided on an urgent surgery before which CT scan and other scans were performed. Doctors said that the scans were a task with the rod protruding from Jadhav's chest. After performing the scans, the doctors carefully removed the rod and performed a surgery on him.

Jadhav was taken off the ventilator on Wednesday and continues to remain in a semi-conscious state. Doctors said that surprisingly, there was no major damage to Jadhav's chest. They said that his brain's condition would be clear once he gained consciousness.
