Mumbai, January 11: The family of a 13-year-old patient who died on Saturday morning got violent with two resident doctors at Nair Hospital in Mumbai. The relatives physically assaulted doctors. Following this development, doctors staged a protest against the attack and halted all Outdoor Patient Department (OPD) services. A case has been registered. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD), Nair Hospital, condemned the alleged attack on the doctors and demanded adequate security at each ward of the hospital for a short time. Last week, in a similar incident from Nair Hospital, relatives of a 34-year-old patient suffering from HIV who died on January 3 attacked a first-year post-graduate medical student Dr Navin Jha. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against one person.
