Content creator Mayank Jha has apologised for making prank videos inside Mumbai local trains after being counselled by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Bandra. Jha said he had been creating videos at stations and on trains between Virar and Churchgate, including clips involving speakers and pranks targeting fellow passengers.

Jha said he realised the seriousness of his actions after uploading a video from Bandra and subsequently receiving a notice from railway authorities. He was called to the RPA office in Bandra, where officials explained that such activities inside local trains were not permitted.
Jha said creators should understand that chasing views through such videos could have serious consequences. He said such actions could potentially affect a person's career and could also lead to legal action.
“I would like to apologise to all the stations in Mumbai,” Jha said, thanking the officials for explaining the consequences of his actions and educating him about the issue. The content creator, who described himself as a college student, also urged fellow creators not to imitate such videos inside railway premises or local trains without permission.
‘Make It With Permission’
Jha said creators should seek permission before filming such content on railway premises. “If you want to make a video, then make it with permission. Make something good and bring awareness among people,” he said.
He said the warning and guidance he received from railway officials would remain with him. Jha also confirmed that he would no longer make videos inside Mumbai local trains. “From today, this series ends,” he said, apologising again and thanking the railway officials for intervening.
Western Railway Urges Passengers To Respect Others
Western Railways also urged passengers and content creators to avoid activities that inconvenience fellow travellers.
“As responsible passengers, let’s avoid acts that disturb or inconvenience fellow travellers. Let’s respect each other’s space and make every journey safer, smoother and more comfortable for everyone.” The railway's message came alongside the apology video shared on X.

Mumbai Madness Series To Continue?
However, when asked if he would end his Mumbai Madness series, Jha clarified that he intended to continue it. He said the series was not Local Madness, but Mumbai Madness, and that he would continue recording prank videos across the city.
The clarification means that while Jha says he will stop filming prank content inside Mumbai local trains, he does not intend to end his broader Mumbai-based content series.
