A 24-year-old man allegedly stabbed two people in Mumbra after they refused to give him INR 50 to buy cigarettes, police said. The incident occurred on August 5 on Amrut Nagar Darga Road. A 24-year-old man allegedly stabbed and injured two people after they refused to give him INR 50 to buy cigarettes in Mumbra in Maharashtra's Thane district, police said on Monday, August 10, reported the PTI. The incident took place on the evening of August 5 on Amrut Nagar Darga Road. The accused, identified as Fardam Ibrahim Mansuri, is yet to be arrested.
According to police, Mansuri allegedly approached Jibran Imran Khan and asked him for INR 50 to buy cigarettes, the news agency reported. When Khan refused to give him the money, Mansuri allegedly became angry and attacked him with a knife. Two People Injured in Mumbra Attack
Both victims sustained injuries to their hands, according to police. The incident was reported on Amrut Nagar Darga Road on August 5. Police said the accused allegedly attacked the two men after the dispute over the money.
Mumbra Police have registered a case against Mansuri under Section 110 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), relating to an attempt to commit culpable homicide, according to the PTI. Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the accused. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the attack and efforts are underway to locate and arrest Mansuri, as per the PTI. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
Woman Allegedly Stabbed to Death by Husband in Mumbai
Meanwhile, in another incident in Mumbai, a 29-year-old woman, a pathology laboratory worker, was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband during a domestic dispute at their home in Kurar Village, Malad East, in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
The deceased, Suchita Akash Salunkhe, 29, lived with her husband, Akash Salunkhe, at Shivsagar Society in Tanaji Nagar, Kurar Village.
According to police, the accused allegedly took his injured wife to a hospital but fled after doctors declared her dead. The couple's four-year-old child was left behind, according to police. The circumstances surrounding the woman's death are being investigated by police.
