The video was met with widespread public outrage across digital platforms. Critics accused the medical professional of trivialising a violent crime and promoting misandry. Five-Year Institutional Suspension Implemented
The public apology failed to mitigate the institutional fallout. On June 29, 2026, AIDSA National Working President Dr Divakar Moodautiya issued a formal suspension order, stripping Dr Soni of her leadership title and barring her from the association until 2031. The organisation declared that she had committed severe "acts of indiscipline" and violated their code of ethics. “Such conduct is completely unacceptable and is against the principles and values of AIDSA," Dr Moodautiya stated. "The association cannot permit any office-bearer or member to make statements that appear to justify or glorify violence or show disrespect towards the deceased," he added. Context of the Ketan Agarwal Murder Probe
The video was directly linked to the ongoing investigation into the death of 26-year-old real estate professional Ketan Agarwal, who was pushed to his death from Maharashtra's Lohagad Fort on June 18. Local authorities initially registered the fatal fall as an accidental death. However, tracking inconsistencies in testimonies and analysing area CCTV footage led the Pune police to uncover a premeditated murder plot. Investigators subsequently arrested Agarwal’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her lover, Chetan Chaudhary. According to police briefs, Goyal reportedly claimed she wanted out of the arranged marriage due to the victim's use of a hair wig - a medical detail the Agarwal family clarified had been transparently disclosed before their formal engagement.
