The woman who was admitted at the hospital has been identified as Sunita and she belonged to Bhaisina village falling under Purkaji Nagar. Kerala Medical Apathy: 7-Year-Old Goes For Nasal Surgery, Gets Operated for Hernia

The patient, along with her 2-year-old daughter, were locked up from outside, reported News 18. Sunita began bleeding after the drip she was kept on went empty. Her daughter also began crying due to unbearable heat and thirst.

After shouting for help, Sunita was forced to herself look for water and quench her daughter's thirst. After being unable to find drinking water, she had to use the water from toilet tank.

The hospital ward was finally opened up after Sunita's cry for help was heard by people outside. After the health department learnt about the case, it switched into action and suspended ward boy Sudhir Kumar and Dr Mohit.
