New Delhi, December 26: Sleuths of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted raids at 16 locations in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh after receiving a tip-off about new terror module of ISIS operatives 'Harkat-ul-Harb-e-Islam'. The NIA arrested five persons, including one, said to be the leader of the group.

The raids were carried out in collaboration with the Anti Terror Squad of the Uttar Pradesh Police and the special cell of the Delhi Police. The Uttar Pradesh Police confirmed the arrest of five suspects in the operation. Ten other suspects were also detained. One of the alleged module heads, Suhail, was also detained from Amroha. TN: 1 Nabbed by NIA for Suspected Links with ISIS.

Searches were underway at the time of filing this report. In east Delhi's Jafarabad area, the NIA carried out searches with the Delhi Police's Special Cell.
