Noida Malls: Water And Sewer Connections in Great India Place, Logix City Centre Mall And In Others Cut Due to Non-Payment of Dues

Noida, August 30: The Noida authority on Thursday had cut water and sewer connections in two big malls- The Great India Place in sector 38A and Logix City Centre Mall in Sector 32. The situation is same in NMC hospital in Sector 30, along with six others for non-payment of dues. Noida: Fire Breaks Out at Spice Mall, Firefighting Operations Underway

The GIP owes water and sewer dues of Rs 14.35 crore, Logix City Center Rs 46 lakh and NMC Hospital has to pay Rs 46 lakh. The other six industrial units facing action have dues ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 21 lakh.

Noida official quoted in a Hindustan Times report said, “The GIP is the biggest defaulter among all because it has not paid the water and sewer dues since its opening in 2007. The authority kept issuing notices to the GIP management but it never paid its dues. Whenever the authority strictly tried to recover dues, it paid some part of dues and never cleared it. Now the dues amount has increased because the authority imposes 14 percent interest on the default."
