The shutdown will commence at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 11, and remain in effect until 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 12. The temporary suspension is necessary to facilitate partial shutdown and maintenance work on the 2,400-millimetre-diameter Vaitarna water pipeline. According to the civic body, the project forms part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving water distribution efficiency across the affected wards.
