Pune, May 9: At least five labourers have died after a fire broke out in a godown in Pune on Thursday. According to a tweet by ANI, the tragic incident took place in Uruli Devachi village of Pune in the early hours on Thursday. Reports inform that after the incident was reported, a total of four fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
According to a tweet by ANI, police and fire brigade officials swung into action after they were alerted about the blaze. The fire was reported to be under control now. Apart from the five, who were killed in the fire, several were injured and were being rushed to hospital. More details awaited.

In November 2018, a massive fire broke out in a slum in Pune's Patil Estate Lane no 3, near Shivajinagar. According to reports, a total of thirty fire tenders were rushed to the spot. No injuries or casualties were reported in the fire incident. According to details by Police, the blaze is believed to have erupted due to a short circuit in the area.
