Patna, June 11: The former Chief Minister of Bihar Rabri Devi on Tuesday wished her husband and Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Prasad Yadav on his 72nd birthday saying that his birth is an incarnation. The former UPA Minister of Railways is lodged in Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi in the multi-crore fodder scam case.

Taking it to Twitter, Rabri Devi said, "राणप्रिय आदरणीय श्री @laluprasadrjd जी को 72वें अवतरण दिवस की अनंत बधाईयाँ। आपको हमारी भी उम्र लग जावे।," which translates to, "Beloved, respected @laluprasadrjd many congratulations on your 72nd incarnation day. May my age also be yours.” Nitish Kumar Can Join Grand Alliance Again, Says Rabri Devi.

While preparations are underway for a birthday celebration at a party office in New Delhi, the residence of Rabri Devi in Patna wore a deserted look. Lalu is currently undergoing treatment at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital.

According to reports, Lalu Yadav has been skipping his lunch and keeps quiet most of the time after his party suffered a humiliating loss in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The RJD failed to secure any seat in Bihar and Jharkhand.

On Saturday, leaders of Indian National Congress and RJD met him. As per the jail officials, only three people are allowed to meet him every Saturday with “prior approval”. After being convicted in multiple fodder scam cases, Lalu was sent to Birsa Munda Central Jail on December 23, 2017.
