Following his hospital visit, Gandhi criticised the Centre over the handling of the protests, describing the police action as "completely un-Indian." He questioned why the Prime Minister had not spoken on the incident and demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also called for a discussion on the issue in Parliament and sought the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, holding the government responsible for the events. Protest Turned Violent Near Parliament

Police said they used crowd-control measures to prevent demonstrators from entering restricted areas.
