Rajkot: Teen Forces 6-Year-Old Boy Into S*x Act in SUV, Another Records Video
Dhoraji City police in Rajkot booked two minors aged 13 and 16 under the POCSO and IT Acts for allegedly assaulting a 6-year-old boy inside an SUV and sharing a video of the crime on WhatsApp. The incident came to light after a relative forwarded the video to the victim's father. Both juveniles were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
A 13-year-old boy allegedly subjected a six-year-old boy to aggravated penetrative s*xual assault inside an SUV in Dhoraji in Gujarat's Rajkot on August 28, while a 16-year-old allegedly recorded a video of the crime and shared it on WhatsApp. Based on a complaint by the victim’s father, Dhoraji City police registered a case against the two boys for aggravated penetrative sexual assault, using a child for pornographic purposes, storage of pornographic material involving child and related charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act and Sections 67, 67A and 67B of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
According to the complaint, a relative sent the father a video on WhatsApp that allegedly showed the crime, Times of India reported. After speaking to his son, the father learned that the offence allegedly took place around 9pm on August 28. The child told him that the 13-year-old, who lives near their home, called him outside to play and later took him into an SUV belonging to the teenager’s father. Police said the 16-year-old later shared the video with a friend through WhatsApp. The video eventually reached one of the victim’s relatives, who forwarded it to the child’s father, leading to the immediate filing of a police complaint.

Preliminary inquiries found that the 16-year-old is a Class XI student, while the 13-year-old has dropped out of school. Both juveniles were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Wednesday, police said.
