Lucknow, October 4: The Uttar Pradesh government has revoked its order for the closure of Sheroes Cafe which is run by acid attack survivors. This step of the UP government has come after they faced criticism from celebrities as well as people. Previously, many people extended their support to save the Sheroes cafe and various social media campaigns were run by the supporters to save cafe from closing down. This Cafe in Tokyo Allows You to Sip Coffee With Snakes, View Pics!

Minister for Women and Child Welfare Rita Joshi in a statement said, "The Sheroes Cafe which is being run in Lucknow will not be shut. Orders have already been issued to the department concerned to resolve the matter. The government stands firmly with the acid attack survivors and all possible efforts are being made for their empowerment," reported India Today.

Earlier, Women Welfare Council wrote a letter to  Channav Foundation, which runs the Sheroes cafe stating that there was no need to run a cafe. The letter also stated that people who were working there would be provided training with the National Skill Development Corporation and State Resource Centre for Women to ensure that they get employment.

This Cafe is among the popular hangout places in the city and employees around twelve acid attack survivors. The UP government has been facing several criticisms after the news broke out of cafe close down.

Actor-turned-Politician Raj Babbar visited the cafe last week and extended his support to acid attack survivors. Actress Swara Bhaskar has also extended her support to the campaign to save Cafe Sheroes.
