SIR 2026: How To Check Name in Draft Voter List in Maharashtra and Delhi
SIR 2026 draft electoral rolls for Maharashtra and Delhi are being published on August 31, allowing voters to verify whether their names appear on the revised lists. The publication of the draft roll is not the end of the revision process. Voters whose names are missing or whose details contain errors can file claims and objections during the designated period. How To Check Your Name Online
The Election Commission’s Voters’ Service Portal provides facilities to search electoral-roll information and download draft electoral rolls for states covered by SIR.
- Visit the ECI's Voter's Services Portal.
- Select the option to search your name in the electoral roll or access the SIR-related services.
- Enter details such as your state, district and Assembly Constituency, as required.
- Search using your EPIC number or other available elector details.
- Check the name, age, relative’s name and other particulars shown in the electoral roll.
- If required, download the relevant draft electoral-roll PDF and check the polling-station-wise list.
The ECI portal also provides a facility to download electoral rolls and draft rolls for states under SIR.
Check Through ECINET App
Voters can also use the ECINET mobile application for electoral-roll services. The Election Commission's portal lists the app as one of the available channels for voter services, including SIR-related facilities.
For SIR verification, the ECI also has a dedicated search facility where voters can search the last SIR electoral roll using details such as EPIC number, elector name, district, Assembly Constituency and polling-station information.
The portal notes that spelling variations can sometimes affect search results. If a name does not appear under an exact spelling, voters can try different spelling variations and provide additional information such as the district, Assembly Constituency and polling part.
How Maharashtra Voters Can Check
The Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra website has a dedicated SIR 2026 section with links for the revised schedule, SIR instructions, FAQs, help desks and voter-related information. Maharashtra voters can therefore check the draft roll through the ECI voter portal or the state CEO website.
The Maharashtra CEO website also provides an ASDD facility — covering absent, shifted, duplicate and dead voters — and allows voters to search certain records using their EPIC number.
Maharashtra SIR Schedule
The Election Commission has revised the Maharashtra SIR schedule. The draft electoral roll is being published on August 31, while voters can file claims and objections until September 30. The notice phase and disposal of claims and objections will continue until October 29.
The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on November 4.  The house-to-house enumeration exercise in Maharashtra was completed, with the document collection process ending on August 17. According to figures cited by the Election Commission, Maharashtra has 9.78 crore electors. Of these, 7.71 crore, or 78.85 per cent, submitted filled and signed enumeration forms during the house-to-house exercise.

Delhi voters can similarly use the Election Commission's Voters’ Service Portal to search their electoral-roll details and access the draft roll.
The Delhi Chief Electoral Officer's SIR guidance says voters should check whether their names have been correctly included after publication of the draft electoral roll. The draft can be checked through BLOs or voter centres, the ECINET mobile app, the ECI voter portal and the CEO Delhi website.
Voters who cannot find their names should not assume that they have been permanently removed. The draft stage provides an opportunity to raise a claim or objection and submit the required information and documents.
Delhi Draft Roll And Missing Names
The Delhi SIR exercise has attracted particular attention because a significant number of voters did not submit enumeration forms during the verification exercise.
Reports citing officials have estimated that around 47.6 lakh registered voters could be absent from the draft roll. The figure reflects voters who did not submit enumeration forms and does not by itself mean that all those people have been permanently removed from the electoral roll. The claims and objections process is intended to allow eligible voters to seek inclusion or correction before the final roll is published.
What To Do If Your Name Is Missing
If your name does not appear in the draft electoral roll, voters should first recheck their details using the ECI portal and the relevant state CEO website. They can also approach their BLO or designated voter centre for assistance.
For Maharashtra, the ECI's revised schedule provides a claims-and-objections window from August 31 to September 30. The final roll is due on November 4.  The ECI portal provides facilities for registration, correction and other electoral-roll services. Form 6 is available for new voter registration, while Form 8 is used for shifting of residence, correction of entries and replacement of an EPIC in applicable cases.
