Valasaravakkam, April 23: On April 18, Tollywood actor Sivakarthikeyan along with his wife Aarthi went to cast his vote at a polling booth in Tamil Nadu's Valasaravakkam, only to find out that his name was missing from the voters' list. However, Aathi's name was present in the list and she was able to vote. When Siva was asked how he was allowed to cast vote despite name missing from voters' list, the Seema Raja actor said he had received "special permission". After Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sathyabrata Sahoo came to know about the incident, he ordered a probe against the polling official in Chennai who allowed the actor to vote on April 18 despite not having the name on the electoral roll. Confirmed! "Sivakarthikeyan's name was not on the voter's list. He has voted despite that. This is a mistake on the part of the polling booth officials presents there. I have ordered for action against them," Sahoo told reporters at the Secretariat on Tuesday, reported The News Minute.

In a similar case, actor Srikanth also found his name missing from the electoral roll. He was also allowed to cast his vote by the officers in Saligramam since he had a voter's ID.
