Protest Focused on Education and Accountability
The CJP-led campaign has centred on demands related to education reforms, examination transparency and accountability. Sonam Wangchuk, who has been leading the movement, had earlier undertaken a hunger strike before being admitted to hospital. In recent days, Angmo had said the movement would continue and that the protest would remain focused on education issues.

While some representatives of the movement have held discussions with Union ministers, protesters have maintained that they will continue their campaign until their demands are addressed.
