Surat, June 30: A SpiceJet aircraft overshot┬аthe runway at Surat airport after landing on Sunday. All passengers onboard were safe. The plane,┬аflight SG-3722, flew from Bhopal. According to SpiceJet, the Surat-bound aircraft┬аovershot the runway after landing. Further details were awaited.

Earlier this month, one of the two nose wheel tyres of a SpiceJet aircraft burst and the pilot had to make an emergency landing at Jaipur airport.┬аSpiceJet's┬аSG 58 flight, carrying 189 passengers, made an emergency landing.

According to the data recently presented by Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in Parliament,┬аSpiceJet had the highest number of passengers who were affected due to flight cancellations from January to May this year.
