How The Accident Happened
According to preliminary information, Nazish was on the third floor when he attempted to jump from the mosque's upper level towards an adjoining building that was under construction. He lost his balance and fell towards the ground. Rushed To Hospital With Rod Still In Place
People at the spot immediately responded by cutting the rod from the construction site. Nazish was then taken to Surat Civil Hospital with part of the metal rod still protruding from his mouth. Team Of Specialists Perform Emergency Surgery
A team of specialists, including plastic surgeons, ENT doctors and anaesthetists, was assembled to carry out the emergency operation. One of the biggest challenges was securing Nazish's airway because the rod was blocking his mouth, but anaesthetists were nevertheless able to establish a safe breathing route before the surgery began.
The operation lasted around an hour. Surgeons carefully removed the rod while ensuring that no major blood vessels were damaged. ENT specialists also treated minor injuries to a salivary gland and the surrounding neck muscles.
Boy Shifted To ICU For Monitoring
Following the surgery, Nazish was shifted to the intensive care unit for close monitoring. Doctors said he will be moved to a general ward once his condition is considered stable.
