The boy, identified as Prithik Roshan, a resident of Ayyampalayam village near Tiruvannamalai, was brought to the healthcare facility located on the Tiruvannamalai-Thandarampattu Road by his mother. Following a initial physical evaluation, general surgeon Dr. Sundarapandian advised diagnostic imaging, which uncovered a dense collection of metallic and sharp foreign objects inside the teenager's stomach. According to the attending medical team, the boy’s mother noted during consultation that small household items-including nail cutters, chains, and amulets-had been regularly going missing from their residence over time. Given the risk of internal injury or blockage posed by the items, an emergency surgical procedure was arranged. With an anesthetist present, the medical team operated on the patient and safely retrieved 23 five-rupee coins, a nail cutter, a chain, a talisman, and several nut-like metallic items.
