New Delhi, February 10: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supporters today staged against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Andhra Pradesh Bhawan in Delhi. The protesters were demanding special status to backward districts and Railway Zone at Vishakapatnam, among other demands. The TDP supporters staged the protest when the PM was in Andhra Pradesh for a rally. Chandrababu Naidu Lashes Out at PM Narendra Mod on Rafale, Demands Independent Probe.

TDP workers also staged a protest in Andhra Pradesh ahead of PM Modi’s rally in Guntur. The party workers tore flex boards with the PM’s photographs even as Governor ESL Narasimhan arrived at Gannavaram to receive Modi. Meanwhile, Naidu did not come to receive PM Modi at Gannavaram airport in Vijayawada.

Yesterday, the TDP chief warned PM Modi that he would have to face protest during his Andhra visit. In a teleconference with party workers on Saturday Naidu said, “Tomorrow is a dark day. PM Modi is going to witness the injustice done to Andhra by him. Opposition leader in state YS Jagan Mohan Reddy won't speak a word against him. It proves their collusion. Modi is weakening states&constitutional institutions.”

Earlier in the day, PM Modi hit out at the Andhra CM. During his rally in Guntur, he said that the TDP chief worked for his son rather than working for the development of the state. Referring to TDP’s alliance with the Congress, the PM said that Naidu is senior in switching sides. Meanwhile, during his visit to the state, the PM laid the foundation of Krishnapatnam Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd (BPCL) coastal terminal project in Guntur before the rally.
