Hardoi, November 8: A man in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi, identified as Vijay Pratap Singh, climbed atop a water tank along with his family members, threatening to commit suicide. According to reports, the family of six climbed atop the water tank to seek action against local goons who had attempted to forcefully grab their property and encroached upon their house. Local goons also abducted Vijay Pratap Singh's brother and harassing the family. Singh and his family members alleged inaction by the police and demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), according to a report by Amar Ujala. Singh and his family members said they were forced to leave their village because of the constant harassment by local goons. A large crowd gathered around the water tank and police and officials of the local administration were also present. Efforts were on to convince the family to come down from the water tank.
