Shahjahanpur, September 6: In a shocking incident reported from UP’s Shahjahanpur, a three-year-old boy was beaten up by some people over suspicion of theft. The child later succumbed to his injuries. Some villagers attacked the family members, leaving the child and an elderly member severely injured.

According to a report in India Today, the dispute started after a villager, identified as Manoj Singh accused Chhotelal of stealing from his shop, however he denied the accusations. The incident took place in the Nigohi Police Station area of Shahjahanpur.

After the Child’s death, the family members sat outside the office of the superintendent of police and demanded action. They carried the body of the child with them and claimed that no action had been taken by the authorities.

The police were able to break the roadblock after assuring that strict action would be taken against the offenders.
