Hamirpur, June 28: In a shocking incident, the bodies of five members of the family were found at their house in Rani Lakshmi Bai Nagar area of Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur city on Thursday. The victims were identified as Raees (27), wife Roshni (25), niece Roshni (15), daughter Aliya (4) and grandmother (85) were found severely bludgeoned in their house. According to reports, the crime came to light when Noorbaksh, the head of the family, who was out to attend a wedding reached home and found their bodies lying in a pool of blood. He later informed it to the police. Hamirpur superintendent of police (SP) Hemraj Meena said that the prima facie the incident seems to be of personal enmity. Meanwhile, the bodies have been sent for post mortem and investigations have been launched into the incident. DGP Anil Roy told Business Standard that Noorbaksh was earlier employed with Hamirpur collectorate and lived with his two sons and other family members. Since the incident, the eldest son is missing, the DIG said. Meanwhile, a search operation has been initiated.
