Mumbai, October 20: As soon as economic offender Vijay Mallya extended Dussehra wishes through his twitter account, he was started getting trolled. Netizens left no stone unturned to take a dig on the liquor baron. Mallya tweeted, “Happy Dussehra, Happy Vijayadashami to all.” Trollers hit out at Mallya for defaulting loans of Indian banks. They even compared him to Ravan and asked him to return to India to pay loans.

One of the trollers even asked him to pay at least EMI of the loan which he had taken from the banks. Some even asked him how he defrauded the banks. Meanwhile, on Friday, the banks' legal representative confirmed that A UK High Enforcement Officer is set to sell a fleet of Vijay Mallya's cars in the UK as part of efforts to recover loan repayment dues owed by the beleaguered liquor baron to a consortium of 13 Indian banks.

According to reports, the order was passed by justice Cockerill dates back to October 11 stating that high court enforcement officers are “at liberty to sell” his Mini Countryman, Maybach 62, Ferrari F430 and F512M, Range Rover and Porsche Cayenne. In May a UK High Court judge ruled in favour of the Indian banks and concluded they were entitled to recover funds amounting to nearly 1.145 billion pounds.

The 62-year-old is Mallya is accused of defaulting on loans of Indian banks to the tune of Rs 9,000 crore (approx). Mallya stoked a political controversy in September by saying he had met finance minister Arun Jaitley before taking a flight to London in March 2016. However, Jaitley refuted Mallya’s claims.
