The Stunt Behind the Viral Makeover
The car, owned by Gwalior resident Aditya Sikarwar, turned heads across the city after his girlfriend spent roughly four hours meticulously stamping the vehicle's exterior with thousands of lipstick imprints, reports PTI. Spanning across the bonnet, doors, pillars, and boot, the imprints transformed the automobile into an unusual moving canvas. Photographs and videos of the vehicle circulated widely across platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, drawing immense public curiosity and amusement. However, the online visibility soon brought unintended consequences when traffic authorities took notice of the registration details visible in the clips.
Police Action and Traffic Regulations
Officers from the Gwalior traffic police traced the vehicle to the Thatipur area and summoned the owner for questioning. According to law enforcement, extensively altering a vehicle's exterior surface presentation violates standard provisions under motor vehicle regulations and road safety guidelines. "Police imposed a fine of INR 5,500 and had the lipstick marks removed from the vehicle," stated SP Dharamveer Yadav, noting that Sikarwar cooperated with authorities and acknowledged the rule infraction, reports Times of India.┬аGwalior Woman Dies by Suicide, Police Suspect Domestic Discord Behind Death.
Speaking about the incident,┬аAditya Sikarwar said, "Since I wasnтАЩt aware that doing so was illegal, after the police action, I cleaned the entire car body to remove the lipstick marks and paid a fine of Rs 5,500. One should never do anything that violates the law." Under police supervision, the vehicle was thoroughly washed to scrub away every last trace of the lipstick imprints, returning the car to its factory standard appearance. Traffic officials have since used the episode to issue a general reminder that social media trends must comply with established legal parameters governing public transport and vehicle compliance.
