New Delhi, October 1: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday morning criticised the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) over the murder of Apple executive Vivek Tiwari in Uttar Pradesh by a police constable, saying that the party does not "even protect the interest of Hindus". He made this remark after the 38-year-old multinational executive was shot dead by Uttar Pradesh Police in Lucknow. Apple Employee Vivek Tiwari Shot Dead by UP Constable, Wife Seeks Answers From CM Yogi Adityanath.

"Why did they kill Vivek, a Hindu? Bhartiya Janata Party leaders are freely raping women and getting away with it. Open your eyes to the fact that the BJP is not a well-wisher of Hindus. They will not think for two-minutes before murdering all Hindus to get to power," he tweeted in Hindi early on Sunday morning. Apple Executive's Killing by UP Cops: Wife of Vivek Tiwari Lodges Fresh FIR Against Accused Constables.

After a netizen asked him if there will be any proper investigation in the murder case, he replied, "No, even though Vivek Tiwari was a Hindu. BJP does not protect the interest of Hindus."

The Delhi CM was criticised for his statements and some users counter-accused him of being silent on the alleged stabbing of Ankit Saxena by his Muslim girlfriend's family in Delhi's Raghubir Nagar earlier this year. Even Vivek Tiwari's widow expressed disapproval over Delhi CM's statement.

"He does not know what I am going through. No politics should be played over my husband's death. Please do not link everything with faith and religion," News18 quoted Kalpana Tiwari as saying.

BJP supporters also disapproved of Kejriwal's statement using hashtag #VultureKejriwal, which became a trending topic with nearly 10,000 posts.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and UP Police chief OP Singh have expressed regret over the incident, as the controversy is still unsolved. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has allegedly questioned the UP government over the rise in numbers of encounters."Uttar Pradesh cannot be saved from fake encounters until an inquiry of such incidents is conducted by a sitting judge," said Yadav.

The police officers who were involved in the case have been dismissed from service and booked for killing the executive.
