The West Bengal government has announced an enhancement in the remuneration of a wide range of employees and contractual personnel, a move expected to benefit approximately one lakh individuals across the state.
Cabinet Decisions and Special Assembly Session

“The state will incur an additional expenditure of INR 390 crore per annum for this purpose, benefiting more than one lakh people,” Adhikari said, noting that the administration found the demands for these revisions fully justifiable. Additionally, the chief minister announced that a legislative bill to facilitate the inter-university transfer of both teaching and non-teaching personnel will be presented during a one-day special session of the assembly scheduled for September 10.

The structural revisions cover several administrative divisions, grassroots public service programs, and welfare provisions for former legislators.

The administration has also emphasised the ongoing operational rollout of the Netaji Seva Kendras, public service hubs established across constituencies to streamline citizen-centric assistance.
