Advisory Issued to MPs Ahead of Monsoon Session 2026
In a bulletin issued on Wednesday, July 15, the Lok Sabha Secretariat noted that advanced electronic devices are now widely available and some possess features that could create security and privacy concerns.
“Members are aware that a large number of advanced devices such as smart spectacles/ pen cameras/ smart watches etc. are now widely available in the country. Some of these devices can be used in ways so as to compromise privacy of Members and breach parliamentary privileges," the bulletin said. Focus on Security and Privacy
According to the advisory, members have been requested not to use smart devices in any manner that could affect the security, privacy or privileges of fellow MPs.
