‘3 Times the Tea Seller, the Cow Protector in 27’ Posters Appear in Varanasi Ahead of UP Assembly Elections 2027
Posters carrying the slogan '3 Times the Tea Seller, the Cow Protector in 27' have appeared in Varanasi ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Put up by BJP worker Deepak Singh Rajveer during Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit, the posters are being viewed as a message backing Yogi for a third consecutive term as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.
Although the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are still some time away, political messaging has begun surfacing in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. Posters carrying the slogan "3 Times the Tea Seller, the Cow Protector in 27" have appeared at prominent locations in the city, drawing attention for their apparent reference to the BJP's leadership ahead of the next state polls.
The posters, displayed at locations including the Circuit House and Suswahi, have triggered political discussion as they are widely being interpreted as projecting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as the BJP's face for the 2027 Assembly elections and seeking a third consecutive term for him.

Posters Released by BJP Worker
The posters were put up by BJP worker Deepak Singh Rajveer to coincide with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to Varanasi. Explaining the campaign, Rajveer said the posters were intended not only to welcome the Chief Minister but also to reflect the aspirations of party workers ahead of the next Assembly elections.
He said: "Today, on the arrival of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Kashi, I have released a special poster welcoming and congratulating him. The tea vendors have come three times, and the cow vendors will roar with force in 2027. The arrival of Yogi Adityanath, protector of cows, Ganga, and Gayatri, and head of Gorakshapeetha, is an inspiration for the entire state. The dream he showed of a crime-free Uttar Pradesh is being firmly realized."
Message Linked to 2027 Elections
The slogan is being viewed by political observers as a reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has often described his background as a tea seller, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is associated by supporters with cow protection.
The posters also appear to signal support for Yogi Adityanath's continuation as Chief Minister after the 2027 Assembly elections, although the BJP has not officially announced its chief ministerial face for the contest.
BJP Worker Expresses Confidence
Rajveer also expressed confidence that the BJP would return to power in Uttar Pradesh. He said: "I declare with full confidence that in the coming times, every grassroots BJP worker will work with full strength and will once again form a BJP government with a thumping majority in 2027. We have also seen the past era of the state, when there was an atmosphere of riots and fear. Today, Uttar Pradesh is moving forward as a new model of law and order and development. To take the state forward in the same direction, we have resolved to make Yogi Adityanath the Chief Minister again in 2027."
The appearance of the posters comes amid increasing political activity in Uttar Pradesh, even though the Assembly elections are still more than a year away.
Their display in Varanasi, Prime Minister Modi's Lok Sabha constituency, has added to speculation over the BJP's preparations for the 2027 state elections and sparked discussion in political circles.
